Resort overview

Set at the bottom of the Athirapilly valley, on a slope beside the sprightly Chalakudy River, Casa Rio is a delightfully discreet hideaway. Wrapped in the lush embrace of the Athirpilly forest, contemporary designed twin floored cottages arrayed in blocks on two ends of the property, skirting the lobby and a fitness centre with a restaurant, banquet and conferencing areas on the floor above. Cobblestone paths snake through the property, past landscaped gardens dotted with flowering plants and stunted palms, to the river’s edge.

Kingfishers dive in to the river to emerge with silver fish in their beaks. Soak in the sun on deck chairs, swim in the pool set beside the river, revive and rejuvenate at the spa, practice Yoga or else, in the profound silence, meditate. As the day passes, feel the compelling throb of nature from the gazebos built atop a meandering pool, looking out at densely forested mountain tops and the river rushing past boulders below. The Athirapilly water fall nearby, roars through the day and into the night lulling the senses to slumber.
